Meet The Team
Katie Washbourne
Katie notes that we all face adversity at some point in our lives. She spent 11 years working for various organisations with people who were in crisis, or were struggling to manage their emotions due to low confidence, disability and trauma. During her professional career she has provided support to children, parents, families, and professionals in a multitude of areas including the NHS, Social Care, The Home Office, Children’s Charities and the VSCE sector. She now uses her specialist knowledge, research, professional background and passion for supporting people to be able to overcome adversities through Ordinary Magic, and is passionate about supporting vulnerable children in Sports.
Andy Warmington
Andy strongly believes sport is for all and that it plays a valuable role in improving people’s lives. Before founding his own community interest company (C.I.C), Inclusive Sports Academy, Andy worked as Head Coach at Solihull Arden Club where he developed a vibrant junior and adult programme. During this time, the club received the ‘National Club of the Year Award’ as recognition for their development initiatives. During 2017, he was awarded a Mayor’s Civic Honour for his services to sport in Solihull. Andy has a vast knowledge of sport in and around the area.
Michelle O'Connor
Michelle is a fully qualified Trained Social Worker, and for 8 years worked in an Independent Fostering Agency, supporting Looked After Children and foster families in their journey of fostering. During their professional career as a Social worker they have provided support to many children who have faced extreme abuse, trauma and neglect, as well as supporting those who foster in managing the transition children take into and out of their homes. Many of the children supported have also presented with a range of challenging behaviours, such as self-harm, anxiety and social withdrawal. Michelle has also had extensive experience working within various schools across the borough in a caring capacity.
Catherine Lamb
Catherine has broad experience in working in communities and families, after graduating in Youth & Community Work, with Applied Theology from Cambridge Ridley Hall. They have spent a lot of time within schools as a Chaplain working with the children, parents and staff as well as taking therapeutic drama group within local schools building self esteem, confidence and body awareness for participants. Catherine has also had lots of experience running holiday clubs, nurture groups, and childcare as an assistant childminder. They have been the Co-Director of a small group of business and mainly co-ordinated the administration and project based work of the group.
Caitlin Gray
Marketing and Social Media Manager
Caitlin joined the social sector after completing her bachelors degree at the University of Salford studying Multimedia Journalism. She has undergone several placements at various news and entertainment outlets in the North West, and is a published live music journalist. Caitlin produces multiple marketing strategies for social media, and produces marketing content as well as building and operating multiple websites and platforms. Caitlin has recently completed her Level 3 Leadership and Management course with SCCU.
